ENGAGEMENT PICTURES.... EMMA DUNCAN AND EVAN PHILIP

I was happy to get together last month with Evan and Emma to take some engagement pictures down at Riverside Park before their wedding the week after.  Emma is always laughing and so it was fun to get some pictures of her so happy! Luckily the rain held off long enough that I was able to get some cute shots of them, even when it was colder than we were expecting. Evan was a trooper, but I think he might have preferred wearing something a little warmer!! I always have fun with the pictures after and I used some PW actions on these.....

WAITING FOR SPRING

So by the end of January I have to admit, I'm pretty tired of the snow, the cold and the dark! It just gets so dreary and depressing. I keep telling myself that we are lucky to live in Kamloops where the snow really doesn't last very long, but it's hard to believe it when you look out the window and the snow piles are still up to your back steps.

So I was delighted a few days ago to have the sun out beautiful and bright melting the snow and I stepped outside to take some pictures. I found this one in my stash and loved it. I knew that I wanted to try to Colorsplash it, like I can do with the app on my phone. It didn't take long to Photoshop it and it totally fit my mood!

Anyone else out there who can't wait for spring?

iSHOT THAT

I'm pretty excited to start a new class in February called iShotThat! No, in answer to my son-in-law Scott and soon to be son-in-law Kevin, it has nothing to do with any animals or birds, lol but it is a class on taking better pictures with your IPHONE! The teachers are Jim and Molly Newman and they write that one of the most popular cameras out there is the Iphone and this class gives you ideas on how to take advantage of all of it's functions and how to use the apps that are out there to make the best of your pictures.

I thought I would show you a few pictures I took last summer using my Iphone during one of Mitchell's soccer games.

The light was stupendous and I loved how they came out. I actually ended up using one for this scrapbook page I made for his team, the Purple Panthers!

This last one I took on the Thompson River while boating with friends...and then I put an Instagram filter on it.

So feel free to join me in using your IPHONE, the camera that is always in your purse or pocket and learn to take better pictures with it! I would love to see some of the pictures that you take...and I'll be sharing some of mine here! Let me know if you are taking this class with me..

Happy shooting...PICTURES that is!!
